Together, we can give more young people the opportunity to gain the skills and confidence they need to progress towards inspiring STEM careers.

In the UK today, huge numbers of young people are missing out on opportunities in STEM because of their backgrounds. Gender, ethnicity and socio-economic background all influence how likely young people are to choose STEM studies and thrive in STEM careers. This inequality doesn’t just impact on individual lives; our society is being deprived of the diverse voices and skilled future leaders we need to tackle urgent economic and social challenges.

Your support will help to create a fairer society where all young people can develop the skills, knowledge and experience they need to succeed in STEM.

                               CHARITABLE TRUSTS, FOUNDATIONS & PHILANTRHOPISTS

Our partnerships with grant makers and philanthropists help us to expand our programmes, inspiring young people from under-represented groups to see themselves in STEM. Your support can enable young people to take part in hands-on STEM activities and projects, work with mentors from diverse backgrounds, and build vital connections with employers and educators.

As well as building STEM knowledge and aspirations, our programmes help young people to develop their skills for life, work and wellbeing. Participants say that their experience has helped them with confidence, teamwork, communication and problem solving.

We build close relationships with our supporters, helping you to achieve your giving goals. We provide advice and insight on the projects and programmes that you could support in line with your interests.  As a supporter, you’ll receive regular updates that show the impact your gift has made. You’ll even have the opportunity to join our events and see our work first hand.

“This experience gave me the courage in my convictions that I was both interested in and capable of studying and succeeding in engineering. It highlighted to me some areas I would have to work on before applying to and attending university, but also showed me that I was much more capable than I had given myself credit for.”

-Anna went on to study Mechanical Engineering at university

“University always seemed so intimidating to me as none of my parents have been able to guide me through it as they have never graduated themselves.  However, this virtual course has laid out my options in a way that didn’t overwhelm me, but rather made me confident in applying for a subject that piques my interest.  I truly am grateful that I have experienced such an opportunity that has inspired me to pursue my love for coding and engineering.”
