In this role, you’ll support the Senior Sustainability and Environment Manager and Team in their delivery of environmental management services and sustainable solutions across our project portfolio. Key to this is supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of our Onshore ISO14001 Environmental Management System and supporting the delivery of our Sustainability Strategy. A key focus of this role will be supporting the Environmental Audit programme, Environmental and Sustainability Reporting, Data Management and Compliance.

 

Sustainable Development and Environmental Management is a key area of focus and continual improvement, and delivery of Annual Sustainability and Environmental Objectives is a key deliverable for SPR. The business also supports the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals and Science Based Targets. The ongoing ISO14001 certification of the Onshore Environmental Management System is a key business requirement within SPR.

 

Discipline

 

Educated to (or working towards) degree level or equivalent in Environmental related degree or Masters such as Environmental Management, Environmental Science,  Environmental Geography, Sustainability  or similar.

 

Activities and Responsibilities

 

  • Provide support to the Environmental Advisors for the Annual Environmental Audit Programme- attending site/remote, report writing, collation and review of information.
  • Assist the Team in Environmental Performance Reporting- data collation, analysis and reporting.
  • Assist the Team with data and information requirements for Compliance Registers such as waste management. 
  • Support the development of our Sustainability Strategy

 

Technical Skills/Knowledge

 

  • Be able to interact with a variety of Internal and external stakeholders.
    • Internal – Onshore Teams, Internal and External Communications
    • External - Key suppliers
  • Educated (or working towards) degree level or equivalent in Environmental related degree or Masters such as Environmental Management, Environmental Science,  Environmental Geography, Sustainability  or similar.
  • Competent on Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong analytic abilities and report writing skills

 

Interpersonal Skills

 

  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Passionate about working in the Renewables industry
