The role of the Project Management Co-ordinator role is to support the Capital Projects Team to plan, execute and deliver property projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.  

 

Discipline

Undergraduate currently studying for a degree related to Construction Industry (eg Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or Project Management) or Post-Graduate Student studying on one of these disciplines

 

Activities and Responsibilities

 

Specific tasks will be provided to the individual from the relevant Project Manager, with training/mentoring, support and guidance provided throughout to support development of the skills required to support project delivery.

 

The intention is to benefit both parties, with additional resource supporting the Capital Projects Team and the individual benefiting from involvement in challenging projects under the supervision of experienced professionals. The individual will be supported to adjust into a professional environment and have the challenge to improve both their soft (stakeholder engagement, end-user interface) and technical skills.

 

Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Good computer literacy with skills in MS Office - in particular Teams, Excel & Powerpoint
  • Experience in Microsoft Project being beneficial, but not essential

 

Interpersonal Skills

  • Good interpersonal, communication skills and presentation skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work alongside new colleagues
  • Able to contribute to team meetings
  • Good Time Management, to attend either the office or site visits as required
  • Ability to work remotely. As ScottishPower operate a hybrid working culture and there will be an expectation that the individual will be able, after an initial on-boarding period, to manage their time effectively either from home or in the office

  • Willingness to learn
  • Able to listen to instructions and seek feedback for improvement
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, and take responsibility for owning and completing tasks assigned
