The Foundation awards vital funding to registered charities to allow them to deliver much needed and often life-changing support for people and communities across the country.  Funding supports education, environmental protection, arts, heritage, culture, science, citizenship, community development, and the prevention or relief of poverty and the relief of those in need though disability or other disadvantage.

 

Discipline

University undergraduate or graduate studying/graduating from a degree related to Business, Marketing, HR, interest in philanthropy.

 

Activities and Responsibilities

This is a supporting role within a Foundation team to help deliver its grant giving programme. You will develop a detailed understanding of how the Foundation operates; building valuable relationships with our funded charities and helping us to better serve their needs.

You will support by delivering administration and support services, working closely with team members across operational activities such as grant management, reporting and internal communications. You will be responsible for handling general enquiries, monitoring and evaluating the progress of funded projects, promoting the work of the Foundation and ensuring good record keeping across IT systems, the shared drive and shared mailbox.

· Handling general enquiries all year round, and particularly during the grant application window.

· Helping to assess grant applications and carry out due diligence.

· Supporting with grant management; developing tailored Funding Agreements for each charity, monitoring and evaluating the progress of their funded projects and responding to any requests for changes to the agreed projects.

· Organising and attending project monitoring visits.

· Coordinating and inputting data for a range of global and UK reporting requirements.

· Working with an external designer to produce the Annual Report.

· Supporting the delivery of the agreed Communications Plan for the year; creating content for internal communications.

· Project work; historical data mapping and analysis.

· Positively representing the Foundation.

· Ensuring good record keeping across IT systems, the shared drive and shared mailbox.
