They are seeking a number of keen school leavers, undergraduates or recent graduates to join their Finance Team. A number of opportunities for candidate of different experience levels are available in each of the Customer, Renewables, Networks and Corporate divisions. These roles are based in Glasgow City Centre, and are open to any candidate from the local area or any candidate able and willing to relocate to Glasgow for the year.

Key Accountabilities
Supporting the production and analysis of timely, high quality financial information to senior management and parent company stakeholders.

 

Activities and Responsibilities
•    Assisting the team in monthly reporting of business results, posting journals and performing internal controls, and the preparation of the Key Performance Indicators report
•    Helping with quarterly forecasting of profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow
•    Assisting with the production of the Annual Accounts and Strategic Report
•    Assisting the assessment of compliance with OFGEM regulated expenditure allowances
•    Availability control management with the team
•    Providing a fresh perspective to recommend improvements to long standing processes
  
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
o    Applies attention to detail when completing all tasks
o    Knowledge of Excel as work is predominantly spreadsheet based
o    Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload
o    Adapt quickly to change in a fast moving environment
o    Project management
o    Experience of business practices
