EDT and RAF Charitable Trust Renew Partnership to Inspire STEM Talent

We are proud to continue our successful partnership with the RAF Charitable Trust for an exciting second year.

Building on the success of our inaugural collaboration, this renewed partnership will continue to inspire and engage tens of thousands of young people across the UK, encouraging them to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

The year-long partnership will see the RAF Charitable Trust maintain its role as the Headline Funder of our Industrial Cadets programme, a unique initiative that connects young people with industry and provides them with hands-on experience in a variety of STEM fields.

The partnership’s key goal remains to inspire and support the next generation of innovators, engineers, and leaders. As part of this ongoing collaboration, Industrial Cadets has been further strengthened through the accreditation of two flagship UK programmes co-designed by the RAF Charitable Trust and RAF Youth & STEM, namely Road to RIAT for Primary Schools and Road to RIAT Blast Off for Secondary Schools; both programmes will be delivered by The Smallpeice Trust.

Dr Kevin P Stenson, Director of the RAF Charitable Trust commented: “Given our purpose to promote the RAF and Inspire Young People to fulfil their potential in Air, Space and Technology, we are delighted to be continuing our partnership with EDT Industrial cadets. I see the power of Industrial Cadets as helping young people to develop the essential skills to unlock their potential when combined with STEM subjects.”

Julie Feest, CEO of EDT and Industrial Cadets, commented: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the RAF Charitable Trust for a second year. Together, we have already made a significant impact, and with their continued support, we are one step closer to achieving our shared ambition of inspiring and empowering young minds across the country. Through Industrial Cadets we are fostering the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators, and we can’t wait to see the incredible achievements that will result from this partnership.”
