KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: •To provide support to, and work along-side, the various Engineering Teams within Dunbar ERF. •To gain an understanding of the importance of how an effective maintenance management strategy is in maintaining the availability of the plant. •Gain an understanding of the D365 Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in use at Dunbar ERF and work along-site the Engineers to input data and make improvements to the system. •To gain a detailed understanding of the various Engineering Systems and Processes at Dunbar ERF. ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Helping to update and maintain the CMMS database for Dunbar ERF and assist the discipline engineers in undertaking any equipment surveys required before submitting information onto the CMMS. •Support the maintenance planning process by ensuring tasks are effectively scoped, coordinated and communicated. •Assisting the discipline engineers in the development of an overall maintenance strategy for the systems / equipment installed at Dunbar ERF and liaising with the Central Engineering Team. •Project planning / monitoring / reporting for all Projects that they are involved with. •Providing feedback to the Engineering Manager / Discipline Engineers on the progression of all tasks / projects. •Work with the Community Benefits Officer on STEM programmes.•Helping to update and maintain the CMMS database for Dunbar ERF and assist the discipline engineers in undertaking any equipment surveys required before submitting information onto the CMMS. •Support the maintenance planning process by ensuring tasks are effectively scoped, coordinated and communicated. •Assisting the discipline engineers in the development of an overall maintenance strategy for the systems / equipment installed at Dunbar ERF and liaising with the Central Engineering Team. •Project planning / monitoring / reporting for all Projects that they are involved with. •Providing feedback to the Engineering Manager / Discipline Engineers on the progression of all tasks / projects. •Work with the Community Benefits Officer on STEM programmes.

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: This role will involve working within the Product Engineering team with focus on monitoring and optimizing existing product designs/processes and helping introduce new products and processes to manufacture. This requires working on a large array of tasks such as devising and testing product design improvements, reviewing customer feedback to understand areas for product or process improvements and designing jigs to help improve product manufacture. This will be achieved working alongside other functions in the company and with our manufacturing partners and may involve interacting with our network of third-party suppliers and consultants. Your responsibilities will include: • Working within a team to devise creative ways to improve product manufacture, performance, and robustness. • Work alongside our manufacturing partners and other members of the Product Engineering team to help optimise manufacturing processes, documentation, inspection, and testing methods. • Building and testing of prototype products and designs to verify and validate design improvements. • Assisting with jig design, build and verification/validation to improve product manufacture and testing. • Data analysis and presentation of findings to help guide product and process improvements. • Producing clear and concise written technical reports and presentations to share and support findings. KEY COMPETENCIES: The successful applicant will have a passion and excellent grades in Electronics/Physical Sciences. They will be a self-starter and have an inquisitive and probing nature, with a keen interest in product design and development. This is a hands-on role that requires analytical and practical problem-solving skills with critical attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Other desirable abilities and skills: • Experience with any of the following software packages is a benefit: LabVIEW, MATLAB, JMP, Solid works, Fusion 360. • Proficiency with MS Office; Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. • Excellent written communication and presentation skills. • Effective communication and teamwork. • Excellent organisational and time management skills to effectively handle conflicting priorities and ensure tight deadlines are met. • Willingness to work in a closely regulated industry.

This role is ideal for undergraduates, or recent graduates interested in supporting ground engineering initiatives within the SP Renewables Offshore department. In this role, you will assist in the analysis and interpretation of geological data, support the planning and execution of ground engineering projects, and collaborate with various departments to ensure the successful implementation of engineering solutions. You will also contribute to the development and application of geotechnical models and techniques. Candidates should be currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Geosciences, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, or a related discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in relevant engineering software, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential. A keen interest in renewable energy and an understanding of ground engineering principles are highly desirable.
