Bursary Eligibility Criteria
We offer bursaries to support students who may face financial barriers to participating in our programmes. Bursaries are only available to students who request one and are not available to international or independent school students.
Students may be eligible for a bursary if they:

- Live in a POLAR4 Quintile 1 or 2 area (based on postcode data). You can find out what quintile your postcode falls into here.
- Are eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) — evidence required.
- Are a young carer — a short explanation of their responsibilities and impact on education is required.
- Have been in local authority care — evidence of council area and time in care is required.
- Are experiencing financial hardship due to specific circumstances (e.g. family illness, bereavement, or receiving benefits but not eligible for FSM) — supporting details or documentation may be requested.
If a student does not meet the listed criteria but has requested a bursary, we will contact them to understand their situation. In some cases, applications may be referred to our team for further review and authorisation.

We currently have the following bursaries available based on student location for our Insights into University Courses.

To apply for a bursary, simply state in your application form that you wish to be considered for bursary. Our team will then follow up with you to tell if your bursary application has been successful, or if they need any further information from you.
Bursaries are available for all other programmes and will be stated here when applications open for that course.
