We had a wonderful day last Monday at the University of Bath listening to our Regional Finalists; George Roberts (Schneider Electric), Harry Jackson (AnTech Ltd), Manika Somarathne (EDF Energy), Megan Finch (Collins Aerospace) and Richard Creswick (Powrmatic Ltd) present their projects to our Judging panel.
We and the Judges were incredibly impressed by the quality of not only the presentations but also the quality of work that these students have achieved during their year – well done to you all!
The Judges did however have the challenge to decide on two regional winners – so it is with great pleasure that I announce our two YINI South West Contribution to the Business Award Winners for 2019 are:
George Roberts and Megan Finch
The Judges were impressed with your abilities in communicating your complex projects, the high level of skill and the ability to look ahead to your legacy to ensure your projects can be continued by the next student and lastly of course, the significant impact your work has had on each of your companies.
Congratulating Megan and George!
To all our SW YINI Students...
You have all worked incredibly hard so well done. I hope you have enjoyed and benefitted from your YINI placement experience.
As many of your placements will be coming to an end over the next couple of months, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for choosing the YINI scheme and we wish you success and happiness in whatever you go onto next. We will be in contact again to ask for your feedback to help us make improvements and of course, please do keep in touch as we always like to hear from our YINI Alumni!
And to our YINI Mentors and YINI Company Managers…
A big Thank you to you all for the support and guidance you have provided our students this past year, without your support none of this would be possible. We hope that you have enjoyed the experience too and we look forward to hopefully working with you again next year.
And thank you to everyone who joined us for the event to celebrate our students accomplishments!
