The company is part of an international energy company and they are seeking a student in their energy networks division. They own and operate electricity transmission and distribution networks in Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and Southern Scotland. With around 3.3m customers. The placement is open to both pre-university and undergraduates for 11 months starting at the beginning of October 2020.
MAIN PLACEMENT PURPOSE:
The student will be involved in project management, financial management and regulatory output understanding. Assisting the district in ensuring delivery plans are on track and gaining an understanding of end to end delivery process and the importance of financial management as an engineer.
During the placement, you will gain an understanding of dealing with third party contractors and the importance of health & safety and customer service in our day to day activities.
The placements will involve spreadsheet and database work and Excel skills are required
They are also looking to develop a longer-term relationship with students formed during a successful placement and you may be invited to apply for a sponsored degree or their graduate scheme.
- Good Knowledge and experience in IT skills\applications
- Good A-Level results in Mathematics
- Analytical and logical in your approach
- Good written and verbal communication skills
