We have over the years been evolving our use of analytics and data in commercial decision making, having developed a market leading in house yield management system. The Commercial team use this system to manage pricing across the range of products we sell. The success of the system means that it is recognised as a group software product and rolled out across other markets. 

Also we have used analytics to support in airline operation systems and expanding the range of our analytics and data products and services.  We are continually improving our systems and algorithms so research and analysis are also a focus.

As a key part of the highly regarded Commercial Analytics team and with exposure to senior people across trading, this role offers excellent potential for development.


Role Description:

Working in the Markets and Aviation Analytics department you could be working on a range of areas and projects, an outline of these is given below.

Yield Management System support function          -           Providing first line support to system users to resolve issues or escalate as required.  Conducting initial investigations into issues and managing updates on progress to business users and ensuring effective case management.

Commercial Insight        -           Provide reporting, visualisation and analysis

AI/ML                            -           project work and areas of change in our automated commercial systems

More generally you will develop an understanding of yield management and tour operating as well as have good exposure to the use of analytics, data management and mathematics in business. Exposure to software such as Oracle SQL and Snowflake as well as Python, AWS (depending on project).  


Person Profile:

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and client management skills, organised.
• Quick learner, curious and an ability to develop an understanding of a complex system (with support)
• The ability to work on own initiative and solve problems without needing direct management
• Skills in MS applications including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience in using SQL an advantage
