We are a privately owned manufacturing company based to the West of Reading within easy commuting from the town centre, walking distance from Reading West Station.
Role Description: The main remit of this role is to provide administrative and practical support to the Operations Manager so that purchasing activities are carried out effectively. This will include raising Purchase Orders; monitoring and responding to emails, as well as stock control and data entry.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or other professional looking to work towards their CIPS qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Operations Manager in the day to day management of procurement processes and activities, ensuring optimal supplier performance.
Maintenance of the approved suppliers list
Provide administrative support to the purchasing activities
Working closely with other teams to monitor, report, and control stock levels
Develop and maintain good working relationships with key suppliers and internal teams
Required Competencies (Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Attitude)
Ability to manage a heavy workload and conflicting demands, whilst consistently producing high-quality work to tight deadlines
Good knowledge of Excel
Articulate and professional by phone and email
Time management and prioritisation
Can do attitude
Keeps confidentiality as dealing with sensitive information.
