The company is one of the leading Energy Network brands that operates across the UK, the job role will require you to work with the company’s communications department dealing Government and Corporate Affairs.

 

Discipline

Pre-university, undergraduate, graduates or  planning to study/currently studying for a degree related to politics, public policy or communications.

 

Activities and Responsibilities

Playing a key role within the small team responsible for all political and parliamentary engagement for the company across the UK. The team act as a single point of contact for all government ministers, MPs, MSPs and MSs, dealing with their policy and constituency enquiries and promoting company’s key messages on green energy investment to key political stakeholders.

 

The successful candidate will play an important role in the fast-moving world of corporate communications, dealing with parliamentarians and their staff to ensure their enquiries are managed in a coordinated and professional manner. In doing so, they will gain vital experience in public affairs, political engagement, intelligence gathering, research and crisis comms. They will also work closely with other key teams and individuals in the Corporate Affairs function, primarily the media relations team and policy/regulation team, supporting them as and when required.

  • MS Office - In particular Teams, Excel & Powerpoint
