The organisation supports innovation through the development and commercialisation of technology, this is delivered by scientists, engineers and project teams with expertise in materials science, using state-of-the-art equipment, laboratories, workshops, demonstration, scale-up and production facilities.
They have a long and successful track record in research supported from a unique combination of laboratories, modelling and simulation facilities, enabling scientists and engineers to deliver materials and process improvements.
MAIN PLACEMENT PURPOSE:
Undertaking project work relating to advanced materials and their production in a decarbonised circular economy, supported by digital technologies.
Under the supervision of project managers, and senior researchers, undertaking tasks on one or more projects for commercial clients or grant funding bodies to address challenges relating to advanced materials, and their production in a decarbonised circular economy, supported by digital technologies.
The specific projects will depend both on the skills and aptitudes of the successful candidate and the Institute’s work programme at the time of the placement.
