Assistant Systems Engineer wanted for a UK based branch of a leading global water technology company with operations in more than 150 countries.

 

Some of the Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Systems Engineering Manager in the running of the Systems Engineering Department
  • Provide cover for the Systems Engineers during any period of absence.
  • To assist other Engineering Departmental personnel in resolving problems, and to assist with Product Range activities supporting specific Product Department Engineers.
  • To liaise directly with the company HQ in Sweden and other company subsidiaries on system and product related matters.
  • To perform the selection and specification of pump and mixing equipment to suit enquiry requirements, using where necessary internal (Company) and external computer application software.
  • To evaluate and advise on the specification of suitable electrical and mechanical ancillary equipment that may be required to complete a system package.

CONTEXT AND BACKGROUND

The System Engineering Department function is a central support for the activities of the Business Unit for Pumping and Mixing. External Customers includes Consultants and Contractors in the Water and Wastewater Sectors and Water Utilities Direct. Internal Customers includes our Tendering and Contracts departments as well as Sales Engineers and Aftermarket Business Unit.  

 

The role is accountable to the System Engineering Manager and Business Unit General Manager.

5.            Ability to work under pressure
