The successful candidate either a school leaver or undergraduate will be working with an international energy company that owns and operates electricity transmission and distribution networks in Southern Scotland, Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales. With around 3.3m customers, it operates in a government regulated environment with targets set by the UK regulator Ofgem. The company have supported Year in Industry students for many years with great success stories.


Key Accountabilities

You will be required to support the Customer & Commercial team within the SP Energy Networks transmission business. This will include elements delivering existing Stakeholder & Customer tasks such as reporting and analysis of output delivery incentives (ODI’s), support the delivery of process improvements, and internal & external stakeholder engagement.


Activities and Responsibilities

  • Moments that Matter & New Stakeholder Infrastructure survey ODI’s - liaise with contacts across the business to maximise incentives
  • Manage tasks associated with the implementation of process improvement initiatives
  • Help to prepare the weekly survey submission
  • Help to prepare the Stakeholder & Customer contribution to the monthly SPT management scorecard and monthly review pack for SPT governance meetings
  • Help to organise events for internal and external customers & stakeholders
  • Help to create publications for internal and external customers & stakeholders
  • Maintain strong controls, ensuring all processes and procedures are in line with Group policies and that the stakeholder engagement system and documentation are kept up to date



Pre-university or undergraduate planning to study/currently studying for a degree related to Project Management & Business Change



Ideally, the person would have had a part-time job previously to demonstrate business practices and awareness


Technical Skills/Knowledge

MS Office- In particular Teams and Excel

Analytical Skills e.g. Spreadsheets
