This is a cutting-edge technology development consultancy, specialising in devices within regulated markets. You will be a team member on a range of projects to create exciting new products and technologies. Our main work is in the field of innovative medical devices, but we work across a range of industries and are constantly presented with interesting challenges. Example projects could be in drug delivery, less-invasive surgery or early-stage innovation and we have an ethical policy to ensure that our work helps people’s lives.
The role will include research into new technologies and helping us to build and test prototypes. You will gain experience in getting new technologies to work and discover the criteria that make commercially driven R&D projects successful. You will discover how new products can be developed to overcome challenges in usability, business requirements, manufacture and regulatory approval. As a team member working for clients, you will learn how to write technical reports and prepare information for presentation to clients. Depending upon which projects arise, there may be opportunities to take part in client meetings and phone calls.
The company is proud of its excellent quality engineering, and so we look for diligent staff who like working in a team. You must be applying for Engineering or Physics at university and be strong academically with good physics and maths A levels. You will be keen to learn, motivated, conscientious and able to demonstrate an aptitude for practical work.
