Responsibilities

Job Purpose

To identify funding opportunities with existing and new funders and use exceptional bid writing skills to create compelling applications for funding. To engage with trusts, foundations and other funding bodies, building fruitful relationships that lead to long-term funding and support.​

About EDT

EDT is an educational charity established 35+ years ago. Our mission is to connect young people with industry and inspiring STEM futures. Our core values are 'Trust, Respect, Integrity, Purpose and Learning' Young people are at the heart of all that we do and through providing industry informed, curriculum enhancing learning experiences, we help them develop personal and interpersonal skills, fulfil their potential and make informed decisions about their future. We recognise their achievement through Industrial Cadets accreditation and awards, an industry-led, nationally recognised quality benchmark. Since 2020, we have moved to a hybrid delivery model (face-to-face and virtual) and re-organised our charity to better meet the needs of the young people we serve. With our Board, we are developing and implementing a long term strategy and business plan to support young people of all backgrounds on their way to a successful career.

We are looking for an experienced Fundraising Officer. We welcome new ideas and fresh thinking to continue to develop creative and proactive funding, working alongside the Funding and Operational Teams. By joining EDT, you will have the opportunity to support thousands of young people each year. You will also be able to influence the direction of our charity through guiding our funding approach, developing opportunities, and shaping bids to inspire and engage new funders.
