This is an innovative 3 day local (Non-residential) experience course that provides young people in year 10 (priority will be given to those who have taken part in Virtual Routes into STEM programme in year 9) an amazing chance to compare college, university and apprenticeship pathways into STE(A)M careers. Students will gain first-hand experience of life at college, university and within a company, spending 1 day at each.

Students will have the opportunity to:

  • Experience real world application of STEM subjects with hands on STE(A)M activities

  • Get exposed to the STEM Careers to enable you to make informed decisions about your future

  • Speak with and feel inspired by the apprentices/graduates about their experience

  • Go on campus tours, learn about student life and get thinking about future studies in a mature and informed manner

  • Develop valuable skills such as presentation skills, team-building and social skills

  • Advance on the knowledge you learnt on the virtual course and gain the real world experience

  • Gain understanding of all available routes into a STEM career

  • Additional skills and achievements for their portfolio

  • Become a Bronze Industrial Cadet
