Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt

Heriot-Watt University

The Physical Sciences Headstart at Heriot-Watt University will give you a taste of the core physical sciences (Chemistry and Physics) and uniquely how they impact in an interdisciplinary manner on modern biological sciences on a pleasant and easily accessible campus just outside Edinburgh.

What’s it all about?

During the programme, you will experience how studying the physical sciences as core subjects  enable the  crossing of  disciplinary boundaries. You will see through the medium of lectures, practical work, and problem-solving classes how common themes can cross the boundaries of scientific disciplines. You will have the opportunity to meet with senior students, including postgraduates, to get an idea of what motivates and excites them. Admissions Tutors and Lecturers will be available to meet informally, to talk about educational and career opportunities. Other activities will include visits to a local graduate employer to explore employment of science graduates and, of course, the vibrant, historical and culturally rich city of Edinburgh.

What will I be doing?
