Teach First are committed to ensuring young people from low-income communities get an excellent education and opportunities in life. One of the ways they are working towards narrowing the gap in access to higher education is through their outreach programme for sixth formers, Teach First Futures (previously named Higher Education Access Programme for Schools).
Equal access to higher education is at the heart of a fair society. Today, however, the most advantaged 20% of young people are still seven times more likely to attend the most selective universities than the 40% most disadvantaged.
