Parents - what can EDT offer?
We are an nationwide education charity providing opportunities for young people in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
We help students make informed choices about their future.
If you have a child/dependent who is between 11 and 21 – they could take part in one of EDT’s work related learning schemes to help with course and career choices.
The EDT portfolio;
First Edition for 11-16 yr olds – Hands-on STEM activity days
Go4SET for 12-14 yr olds – Environmentally themed 10 week STEM projects
Open Industry for all age groups – Curriculum focused in-company education experiences
Routes into STEM for 14-15 yr olds - 3 day STEM course visiting a college, a university and a company
Engineering Education Scheme (England & Scotland) for 16/17 yr olds – Real life 6 month STEM projects
Inspire for 15/16 yr old girls - 3 day STEM experience residential or non-residential courses at university
Headstart for 16/17 yr olds – STEM experience courses at university
The Year in Industry - paid career development work placements
