EDT appoints new Chief Executive
17th July 2017
EDT (The Engineering Development Trust) today announces the appointment of Julie Feest as its new Chief Executive. Julie, who will succeed Gordon Mizner when he steps down from the beginning of October, has extensive experience both in industry and within the not for profit sector. Following a period of working within sales and business development in the Digital Industry, Julie moved into the not-for-profit and charity sector where she has worked for the last decade, joining directly from the Tech Partnership Company formerly e-skills UK, where she was Head of Strategic Partnerships and Customer Director.
Commenting on Julie’s appointment, EDT Chair Nick Buckland said “I’m looking forward to working with Julie in my role as Chair and I am sure that she will help us as a Trust to continue building on the great success of our organisation that does so much to encourage young people into STEM careers, and following on from Gordon who has done so much for the charity.”
Upon her appointment at the Trust, Julie said "I am really excited to be joining EDT and am honoured to accept the post of Chief Executive Officer - I have been so impressed by the quality of the work of this educational charity and the team creating fantastic opportunities in STEM for young people. I look forward to working with the board, staff and partners to ensure EDT continues to thrive, growing the home-grown talent pipeline for these critical skills, at such an important time for the UK.”
